I am excited to let you know that the Board of Education this evening voted to hire Brian Blum as our new superintendent effective August 1, 2022. Mr. Blum is currently Superintendent at Van Buren Local Schools. He has more than 20 years of public education experience.
The Board was impressed by Mr. Blum’s experience but also his passion for school improvement. At Van Buren Local, he helped develop and began implementation of a strategic plan much like our initiative here at Maysville. Mr. Blum is active in the Van Buren School community and looks forward to meeting you and being part of the Maysville Local Schools family!
We appreciate the input you provided to us as we worked to select the best candidate to lead Maysville Local Schools. We also appreciate your patience as the process has taken time. We had nearly 20 applicants and interviewed numerous excellent candidates. The decision was not an easy one, but we believe Mr. Blum will do an outstanding job moving our district forward.
